Alfred "Junior" DeLattre

Alfred “Junior” DeLattre, 92 of West Terre Haute, passed away at 9:30 AM on Thursday, November 26, 2020 in his residence.  He was born in Toledo, OH on December 23, 1927 to Alfred DeLattre and Jeanette Peters DeLattre.

Junior was a veteran of the United States Army and served during Occupation, and retired from Public Service Indiana (Duke Energy) in the maintenance department, and loved to mushroom hunt.

Junior is survived by five daughters; Sherri Plant, Theresa M. Hargis, LeAnn Case (Mike), Markana Hamm, and Connie Heien (Mike), as well as a son, Alfred DeLattre, III (Margaret).  He is also survived by special friends Larry and Penny Childress, twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Pauline Childress Delattre, who passed away October 13, 2017.  He was also preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette DeLattre, a brother, Albert Delattre, son-in-law Rick Hargis, and two gransdsons.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Chris Wilbur officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery.  A “walk-through” visitation is scheduled for Monday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
