Amy Jean Atterson

Amy Jean Atterson, 40 of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 5:00 AM in her residence.  She was born in Terre Haute on September 11, 1979 to Charles Atterson and Gilda Moody Atterson.

Amy enjoyed spending time with her family and loved music and animals.

Amy is survived by the light of her life, her daughter Charlee Rayne Benefiel.  She is also survived by her parents, Charles and Gilda Atterson, her brother, Michael Hill (Sherry), her sister, Christina Barton (John Yancey), her nieces and nephews; Chelsi Whitson (Derrick), Briar Hill (Chelsea), and Evan Barton (Samantha), Cameron Bell, Cade Bell, and Kianna Sweatt.  She also leaves behind her great nieces and nephews; Chase, Toby, Amyah, Madelynn, McKinleigh, Evan Tyler, Connor, Jaxson, Layla, and Kennedy, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents; Earl and Violet Moody, and Charles and Patricia Atterson, as well as her nephew, Tyler Jackson.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home,220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM, with her uncle, Rev. John Moody officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM at the funeral home.
