Anna Louise Williams

Anna Louise Williams, 101, a devoted child of Christ, was welcomed into her eternal home on Friday, October 14, 2022.

She was born October 11, 1921 to Ada A. and John D. McKenzie and was a life-long resident of West Terre Haute. Anna had five brothers and three sisters. She was the mother of four children, Larry Williams (Dawn), Robert Williams (Deb), Linda Pence (Bill) and Bill Williams (Lynn).

Anna graduated from Valley High School in 1940. She was a cook at West Vigo High School until retiring in 1981. After retiring, she worked for Fitzpatrick Funeral Home for 17 years. She was a founding member of The Helping Hands and the Providence Food Pantry, where she volunteered weekly. She was also a member of the West Terre Haute Eastern Star, Chapter # 428. Anna was a lifelong member and lay leader of First United Methodist Church (Faith United Methodist) in West Terre Haute. She was also a member of the El Shaddai Emmaus Community. Anna was an avid Indy 500 race fan. She attended approximately 33 times and last attended the 100th running in 2016 at the age of 95.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Kenneth Williams; and her eight siblings.

Anna is survived by her four children; her grandchildren, Brian (Tina), Warren (Rhonda), Patrick (Jennifer), Melanie Payne, Sean Daily (Angie), Megan (Norbert), Kenna Haase (BJ), B.A. (Jennifer), Emily Tingley (Adam), Taylor Shelby and McKenzie, Shari Hertz (Jeff), Amy Stoehr (Jeff) and Kathy Schick (Scott); her twenty-two great grandchildren; and her twelve great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Ed Gladish and Pastor Bob Roush will be officiating; burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to Helping Hands or Providence Food Pantry. Notes of condolence may be left at: www.fitzpatrickfunerals.com.
