On August 12, 2022, Annetta Lindsay, 84, of Terre Haute, IN, was called home to Heaven. She was born April 12, 1938. Her devoted family and loving belief in God supported her through her struggle, and ultimately gave her peace.

Annetta was blessed with a large, loving family. She was married to Oscar “Junior” Lindsay on August 7, 1984 until his passing in 2005. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching TV, especially crime dramas.

Annetta is survived by her significant other, Richard Minniear; daughters Debbie Gilbreath (Troy), Ida Smith (Ron), Barbara Howard (Bret), Teresa Jernagan (Mike), Ami Bennett, and Stephanie Lindsay Leap (Steve); sons Steve Bennett Sr., and Doug Lindsay (Marissa); 21 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Walters and Ethel (Harris) Walters; Husband, Oscar “Junior” Lindsay; son Henry Bennett; sisters, Georgia Matlock and Dorothy Clements; brothers, Robert Walters, Harold “Tuffy” Walters, Rex Walters, Wiley Walters, Shirley “Jack” Walters, and Pearl Walters; and a newborn grandson, Donald Hayes, two great granddaughters Kimmie  Davis and  Bonnie Wyrick.

Services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 6:00 PM, with Pastor Bob Roush officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM in the funeral home.  She will be cremated and buried at Bethesda Cemetery in West Terre Haute, IN at a later date.
