Brenda Kay (Corbin) Vandivier

Brenda was born August 11,1947 daughter of James and Virginia Corbin who both have proceeded her in death. She was the older sister and best friend to Nancy Neidlinger. She married Thomas Vandivier, the love of her life, on June 1, 1979

Brenda was most proud to be the mother of her 3 girls.

Great grandkids, Corbin, Wyatt, Jayke, Alisa, Cole, Gannon, Jack and bonus great grandkids Katelyn and Ethan, and several nieces and nephews.

One of Brenda’s most loved things was to travel with Tom, her beloved sister Nancy, and brother in law Eddie Neidlinger who passed away in 2017.

Brenda followed her heart and became a nurse in 1974. She began her nursing career at Union Hospital and retired from there in 2008.

Brenda enjoyed 34 years of doing what she loved. She loved caring for and singing to her patients. She loved making people laugh and smile. She was extremely proud to be a nurse and will have the Wabash Valley Nursing Honor Guard at the service.

To have been loved by Brenda Vandivier was a lifelong gift many in this community experienced and cherished.

Brenda was a joyful giver. She would be honored for memorial contributions to be given in her name to any charity of your choice.

We want to thank Kindred Hospice for allowing Brenda to be at home surrounded by those that loved her. Special thanks to Deborah, Billie, Kelly, Dawn and our angel Candi.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM, with family friend, Richard Mott officiating, with burial to follow at Bethesda Cemetery.  A walk-through visitation for Brenda will be held on Monday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
