Bruce Duane Fifer

Bruce Duane Fifer, 61, of Terre Haute, beloved son, brother, and father, passed away Thursday November 10, 2016. He was the first born to Loren Fifer and Blanche Smith Fifer on August 10, 1955 on an air force base in Great Falls, Montana while his father was serving in the Air Force. Survivors include: a son Brian Fifer; his father Loren Fifer; a sister Brenda Ziemlewicz (Ken); a brother Larry Fifer (Debbie); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Blanche Fifer. He had a special place in his maternal grandmother's heart as his mom lived with them for a short time in California while his father was deployed. A hard worker, he had not missed a day's work from his most current job of nine years. He loved fishing, reading, and old cars and had put together many models. He always had a big smile and was very likeable. He had a love for movies and frequently went to the theater in his spare time. He grew up in Wisconsin but had resided in Terre Haute near family the last ten years. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services for Bruce will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Clark Cowden officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until service time Saturday.
