Carl W. Emrick

Carl W. Emrick, 89 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 1:50 PM in Union Hospital.  He was born in West Terre Haute on May 5, 1931 to Carl C. Emrick and Mary Coveleski Emrick.

Carl was a member of New Providence Church.  He maintained the electronic equipment for General Telephone and continued to work at J.R. Pharmacy until he became sick.  He enjoyed reading the Bible, shooting sporting clays, and traveling.

Carl is survived by two sons; Mark Emrick (wife Debi), and Eric Emrick (wife Cristy).  Also surviving are three grandchildren; Caleb Emrick (wife Brittany), Sarah Emrick, and Erica Norton (husband Dane), as well as eight great grandchildren, and a brother, Max Hill.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Dorothy Brown Emrick, who passed away on March 19, 2020.

Due to safety and health concerns, the family respectfully requests understanding with the decision to have private services and burial.  Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.  Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN was entrusted with arrangements.  The family welcomes donations to New Providence Church in lieu of flowers.
