Carol R. "Ruthie" (McDaniel) Humphreys

Carol Ruth Humphreys “Ruthie” went to meet the Lord on Thursday, September 13, 2018 in Lakeland, FL.  She passed away at age 78 after a brave battle with cancer.

Carol was born to Bill and Carol McDaniel in West Terre Haute, IN.  She remained in Indiana until moving to Florida in 1990.  She worked for Indiana State University for 17 years before her move to Florida, where she worked for Publix for the next 18 years.  She had a life-long devotion to the Lord and her family.  She was an active member of West Terre Haute Assembly of God Church and Victory Church in Lakeland, FL.  She enjoyed Sunday School, Bible Study, and her Red Hat Society Friends.

Carol is survived by her husband Mike, daughter Tammy Tucker (BJ), step-daughter Sandy Klein (Adam), and sister Janet, as well as grandchildren Brent, Kasey, Jack, Eric, Andrew, Lexi, and Brooklyn, plus 12 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Jimmy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the West Terre Haute Assembly of God Church, 708 National Ave., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Randy Smith officiating, with a meal at the church immediately following.  Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.
