Carole Margaret (Kelley) Hale

Carole Margaret Hale, 77, of West Terre Haute, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at 5:40 a.m. in Clinton Gardens surrounded by her family.

She was born November 16, 1940 in Vermillion County to Otto Kleeman Kelley and Helen Priscilla Kidd Kelley.

Carole was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Clinton. She was a member and Vice President of the New Goshen Water Board. She loved to sew, quilt, garden and tend to her flowers and koi fish pond. Carole was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Arthur Hale; her sons, Billy M. Hale and his wife, Rebecca, and Richard L. Hale and his wife, Laura; her daughter, Pamela I. Kashon and her husband, Phil; her grandchildren, Phil Kashon, Jr., Heather Peperak, Jennifer Hale, Eric Hale, Richard Hale, Jr. and Christopher Hale; her great grandchildren, Melanie Kashon, Hayden Kashon, Raelynn Peperak, Emmerson Peperak, Jones Berger, Rocio Hale-Saavedra, Evelyn Hale and Annmarie Hale; her brother, Wayne Kelley and his wife, Helen; and her sister, Mary Lou Cottrell; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor George Guinn will be officiating; burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phil Kashon, Jr., Richard Hale, Jr., Christopher Hale, Eric Hale, Mike Peperak and Jason Saavedra. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jones Berger. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
