Casey Michelle Murphy

Casey Michelle Murphy, 38, of West Terre Haute, passed away after a 32 year battle with an inoperable brain tumor.

Casey was born August 17, 1980 in Terre Haute to Kathy Fetter Jackson and Dale Murphy.

She was a 2002 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and attended Happiness Bag after graduating. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and a friend of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Casey never met a stranger. The West Vigo community was a very important part of Casey’s life. She enjoyed attending all the sporting events, helping to sell tickets, and loved meeting new people. According to Casey, every day was her birthday and Christmas was celebrated all year long.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Paul and Barbara Murphy; her great grandparents, Raymond and Ida Maddock, John and Dorothy Fetter and Perry and Mary Clark.

Casey is survived by her parents, Bob and Kathy Jackson; her father, Dale Murphy; her maternal grandparents, Shirley and Francis Fetter; her sister, Crystal Patrick and wife, Cassandra, her step brothers, Brandon Jackson and Sean Jackson; her nieces and nephews, Leah Overpeck, Tristan Patrick and Connor Jackson; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In honor of Casey’s philosophy that it was Christmas all year long, a “Christmas- themed” Service, celebrating Casey’s life, will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana. Please come dressed in Christmas attire. Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Bob Roush will be officiating.
