Charles R. “Dick” Clark, 82 of Marshall, IL, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 in The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. He was born in Clark County, IL on November 7, 1939 to Joseph C. Clark and Wilma A. Minnich Clark.
Dick was an Air Force Veteran, and a carpenter with Local # 133 in Terre Haute. He was an active member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church and was also a member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed wood working and carving, enjoyed raising horses and loved going to his grandkids sporting events. He played various musical instruments and enjoyed playing with his brothers at family gatherings.
Dick is survived by his wife Arlene Robinson Clark, whom he married March 17, 1962, and their two children; Daniel C. Clark and Rachel Grant (Joe). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Samantha Dunlap (Scotty), Dylan Lee, Cade Clark, Colton Clark, Abbi Lee, Avery Cornwell, Sonja Clark, and Marina Clark, as well as two great grandchildren, Chloe Sandefer and Kane Dunlap. He also leaves behind three brothers; Paul Clark (Darla), Larry Clark (Mary), and Jack Clark (Glenda), as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at Sugar Creek Baptist Church, 1050 S. Thorpe Place, West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM, with Dr. Tom Savage officiating. Burial will follow in Dunlap Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, and again on Thursday from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the church.
