Charles N. Cooper, 81 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in Providence Healthcare.  He was born in Vigo County on March 6, 1941, to John Cooper and Mary Knight Cooper.

Charles was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired conductor with CSX Railroad.  He was a member of the United Church of God in West Terre Haute.

Charles is survived by his daughter Dina Cooper (Jason Hedden), and his brother, Jack Cooper (Jo), and his sister, Mamie Knight, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lori Thornton Cooper, who passed away on August 7, 2020, as well as his brothers; Robert Cooper, Vernon Cooper, Albert Cooper, and Ronald Keith Paul.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen, with a graveside service to be held at Dunlap Cemetery in Dennison, IL on March 6, 2023.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.
