Clarence E. Amburgey

Clarence E. Amburgey, 72 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 in the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH.  He was born in Clinton, IN on April 19, 1948 to Lloyd Amburgey and Ruth Farner Amburgey.

Clarence owned and operated Amburgey Auto Sales and Body Shop.

Clarence is survived by his three daughters; Tammy Kernstein (Jerry), Pamela Amburgey, and Lisa Roberts (T.J.), as well as nine grandchildren; Tyler Cordova, Katherine Cordova, Jordan Kernstein, Breanna Kernstein, Jayton Hulett, Linlee Hulett, Dakota Roberts, Avery Roberts, and Bryson Roberts.  Also surviving are three great grandchildren; Elizabeth Wiscaver, Paislee Cordova, and Aiden Padgett, as well as two brothers, Lawrence Amburgey and Leland Amburgey, and a sister, Marilyn Turner.  He was preceded in death by his wife Linda in 2017. Clarence and Linda were married in 1969 in the First United Methodist Church, West Terre Haute.  He is also preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, James Amburgey.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow in Shirley Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 12 Noon – 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
