Clarence W. “Bill” Haymaker, 87, formerly of West Terre Haute and Paris, Illinois, passed away August 27, 2018 in Paris Healthcare.
He was born May 30, 1931 in Vigo County to Clarence Roosevelt Haymaker and Gladys Cox Haymaker.
Bill retired from First Financial Bank. He loved country music, enjoyed singing and playing the guitar.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Dunbar Haymaker, who passed away in 1996; a son, John “Butch” Ellis; sisters, Betty Cleghorn, Norma Hamilton, and Virginia Rose Haymaker, and a great granddaughter, Christian.
Bill will lovingly be remembered by his children, Nancy Hicks (Paul), Bill Haymaker, and Don Haymaker (Beth); and his longtime companion, Virginia Davis. He will be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren, Dawn Lee, Paul, Shelley, Beth, Amy and Megan, and two great grandchildren, Colson and Hudson.
Services will be held Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana. Visitation will be Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Dennis Leek will be officiating; burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
