Connie Sue (Buchanan) Walters

Connie Sue Walters, 54, of West Terre Haute, passed away in her home on January 11, 2019.

She was born July 22, 1964 in Terre Haute to Seth Eugene “Digger” Buchanan and Evelyn “Sue” Elkins Buchanan.

Connie Sue was a foster parent for four years and consequently adopted her son, Kysen. She loved to decorate and cook for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Brenda Taylor; her in-laws, Rev. Joe and Marilyn Walters; and her grandson, Gavin James Walters.

Connie Sue is survived by her husband, James L. Walters; her sons, Travis E. Walters (Jessica), Brian J. Walters (Stacey) and Kysen Walters; brother, Harlan Laycock; sisters, Beverly Carney, Lois Kiger and Rayetta Wycoff; her grandchildren, Toby Pickens and Phoenix Carl; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana. Visitation will be Monday, January 14, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Wendell Kirkman will be officiating; burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park.
