Darla M. (Montgomery) Evinger

Darla Marie Evinger, age 81, of West Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

She was born December 18, 1940 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Harry and Mary (Hedden) Montgomery.

Darla was a dedicated Mom and Grandma and raised her six children along with many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Darla was blessed to have Granddaughter Bobbie and Grandson Benjamin live and care for her until her final day.

She is survived by her loving children: Dusty (Cathy);  Harry (Mouse); Barbara (Bobby); Marjorie; Vaughn; Edie (Darin); her loving grandchildren and joys of her life: Karen (Tom), Jerry (Sadie), Bobbie (Benjamin), Dusty Jr (Kea), Audrey, Tracy (Cody), Anthony (Samantha), Kourtni (Jonathan), Mackensie (Tessa), Ivan, Colton, Ethan (Delaney), Sylvia (Brittany); several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Darla enjoyed bowling, bingo, traveling and gambling. She cherished her time and memories with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild and was very proud of all of them. They were all convinced that they were the favorite, in which they all were. Darla also enjoyed watching and helping raise her nieces, nephews, great niece, great nephew and those she claimed as her own.

She is preceded in death by her husband Herbert E. Evinger and parents; one great grandchild Morgan Marie Cuffle; along with her siblings: Arbie (Barbara) Montgomery; Dane (Rhonna) Montgomery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday May 14, 2022 from 11am -12pm at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN. Service will begin at 12pm with Pastor Ryan Thomas officiating. A Graveside service will follow at Black Cemetery where Darla will be laid to rest.
