Deborah Jean (Phelps) Boswell

Deborah Jean Phelps-Boswell, 67 of West Terre Haute, passed away in her residence on Thursday, March 11, 2021.  She was born in Terre Haute on June 10, 1953 to James L. Phelps and Betty Jean Yakel Phelps.

Deborah worked at I.S.U. for many years as well as Union Hospital and Bridges of Terre Haute before retiring in 2016.She lived at her home in
West Terre Haute with her son Ronald.

Deborah is survived by her two sons, Ronald E. Boswell and Bryan L. Boswell.  She is also survived by her siblings; Fredrick E. Phelps (Sherri Stockwell) and his daughter Christina Phelot and Tina McElfresh (fiancé Steve O’Rourke) and her two daughters Jamie Morlan- Brashier and family, and Dawn M. Welty and family, Jerry Phelps, and Tracy Hatfield.  Also surviving are her grandchildren; Robert Boswell, Haley Boswell, Matthew Boswell, and Brittney Eldredge, as well as one great granddaughter, Riah Berkley.  She was preceded in death by her great grandmother Dola Brown, her grandmother Mary Phelps, and daughter Shanna Boswell.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM.  Visitation is scheduled from 12 Noon until time of service.
