Donald Lee Jeffers

Donald Lee Jeffers, 81 of Dennison, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in his residence.  He was born in Terre Haute on January 20, 1940 to Jack Jeffers and Retta Jane Overdorf Jeffers.

Donald was a member of Laborer’s Local # 204 and loved to fish the river, cut wood, and work on chainsaws.

Donald is survived by two daughters; Dawn Reisinger (Max), and Kim Kump, as well as step-daughters; Melissa Young (Matt), Tammy Long (Rod), and Pam Welsh (Marty), and a sister, Violet Waldon.  Also surviving are his grandchildren; Lee Mayfield (Dusty), Amber Perry (Jarrod), Alan Mayfield, Andrew Kump (Peyton), Nathan Kump (Allison), Justin Kump (Morgan), and Sara Kump (Logan), step-grandchildren; Josh Long (Valera), Breanna Leek (Jake), Amanda Norris, Sandra Atwood (Zander), Madison Long, and Wrigley Young, and great grandchildren; Kali, Dylan, Kinley, Ember, Liam, Brantley, Hadley, Alexandria, and Jaxon as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife, Beverly Jeffers, 2nd wife, Sharon Jeffers, a brother, Jack Jeffers, and a sister, Imogene Smith.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Buddy White officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
