Donna Leah Thoms

Donna Leah “Green” Thoms was the life of a party. She was born on November 9th, 1975, to Cindy Leah Cooper and Russell Green in Terre Haute Indiana and was raised in Oaktown Indiana and West Terre Haute Indiana. 

Her Uncle Jock and her Aunt Cindy helped raise her up after the loss of her father, she looked up to them. She was preceded in death by her Father Russ Green, Uncle Jock “Carl” Green, nephew William Reed, Cousin Luke Green, Cousin Torie Ornduff, Uncle Billy Jene, Uncle Tom, Uncle Charlie, Grandma Mary, Grandpa Jim, Grandma Gabby and Grandpa Bill. She was a West Vigo graduate participating in many school activities and moving onto attending two semesters of business college. She was the mother of Jason, Taylor, Tori, and Rodney “Brandon”. The grandmother of Sophia, Lukas, Skarlett, Louis, Oakleigh, Maddox. The niece of Charlie, Jock, Cindy Green, and Nancy. A sister to Cindy Jo, Danielle, and Tyler. The daughter of Cindy Leah Cooper and Russell Green. The Aunt of Maddyson, Myah, Madden, Shelby, William, Bobby, Skyler, Trint and Paige. The cousin too many. And the partner of Jayson Wright. 

Donna was so full of life and could make the most out of the worst situations. She had such a contagious laugh that when you heard it, it would put a smile on your face. She loved a bit of everything, from coloring, crafting, reading, and scratching scratch off tickets that’s she always had with her. Her love for Janis Joplin and The Doors. She had a love for crime stories and Horror. Donna had a heart of gold. Her grandkids were absolutely everything to her and then some. She would spend her days watching the kids, taking them on fun adventures and doing fun activities with them until they were all tuckered out. She was one of a kind person, it was a privilege to know her. 

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Cremation will follow services. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 12 Noon – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
