Dorothy M. (Brown) Emrick

Dorothy Emrick, 88, of West Terre Haute, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020.

She was born January 1, 1932 in Terre Haute to Raymond Brown and Cloe Holder Brown.

Dorothy was a member of New Providence Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for Ragle and Company for over 40 years. Prior to her employment at Ragle, Dorothy was a school teacher and enjoyed remaining close to the student she taught. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and loved her pets. She also enjoyed traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Carl W. Emrick, whom she married August 8, 1953; her sons, Mark Emrick and his wife, Debi, and Eric Emrick and his wife, Cristy; grandchildren, Caleb Emrick and his wife Brittany, Sarah Emrick and Erica Robertson; and six great grandchildren.

Due to safety and health concerns, the family, respectfully, requests understanding with the decision to have private services and burial. Pastor Dan Deason will be officiating; burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana was entrusted with arrangements. The family welcomes donations to New Providence Church in lieu of flowers.
