Edward Dyer

Edward L. Dyer, 83, of West Terre Haute passed at 12:55 p.m. Monday November 7, 2016 in Harrisons Crossing Health Care Center at Terre Haute. He was born November 19, 1932 in New Goshen, IN to Antone Dyer and Harriett Boothe Dyer. He was preceded in death by his first wife Margaret J. Dyer and his second wife Shirley Olivero Dyer. Survivors include: four children: Mike Dyer (Kim), Kathy Hugar (Christopher), Pam Grimes (Peter), and Curt Dyer (Susan); two sisters Toni Dullum (John) and Sue Polston; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ernest Antone "Dodie" Dyer; and a brother-in-law Donald Polston. Ed retired from Freitag-Weinhardt, Inc. at Terre Haute after many years of service and he was also a member of both the Teamsters Union Local 135 at Terre Haute and the West Terre Haute Masonic Lodge No. 687 for many years. A Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday December 3, 2016 in Pleasantview Cemetery with Pastor Bob Roush officiating. There will also be a Celebration Of Life following the services at the Lions Den in New Goshen. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
