Elmer Wayne Holbert Sr

Elmer Wayne "Toby" Holbert Sr., 79, of West Terre Haute, IN passed away at 5:50 p.m. Friday November 11, 2016 in his residence. He was born August 13, 1937 at Terre Haute to Harley Holbert and Mildred (Kiefer) Holbert. His Wife of fifty five years, Jeanette Louise Schatz Holbert, whom he married on August 31, 1957 preceded him in death on January 19, 2013 . Survivors include: seven children Toby Holbert Jr. (Dee), Tammy Cooper (Wayne), Jane Stephens (Jeff), Sheri Webb, Karen Grayless (Randy), Joe Holbert (Kelly), and Jason Holbert; a special friend Bonnie Newark; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild on the way. He was also preceded in death by two sons Harley "Skip" Holbert and Robert "Bob" Holbert; his parents; and two sisters Shirley Morgan and Mary Poland. Toby retired as a machinist from Hapco Rebuilders at Terre Haute. He enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Leek officiating. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday. The family would like to give a special thank you to Intrepid Hospice and his Maryvale friends.
