Erma R. (Collins) Cooper

Erma R. Cooper, 86, of West Terre Haute, passed away April 18, 2023 in Signature Healthcare.

She was born September 30, 1936 in Vigo County to George William Collins and Pearl Shepherd Collins.

Erma was an aid at St. Mary’s of the Woods, caring for retired nuns and a long-time member of the Assembly of God Church in West Terre Haute.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert Cooper; her son, Ronnie Cooper; her daughter, Betty Ann Crist; and granddaughter, Tiffany Cooper.

Erma is survived by her sons, Jim Phillips (Sherri), Roger Cooper (Kim), and Robert Cooper (Tammy); her beloved grandchildren, Jamie Cooper (Stephen), Ashley Palmer (Hank), Hayley Gregory (Trevor), Kelsie Nicley (Ryan), Joe Cooper (Tiylee) Ben Cooper (Jackie), Josh Phillips, and Amanda Deevers (Dan); and great grandchildren, Aden White, Chance White, Kaia Palmer, Atlas Palmer, Wrenly Gregory, Reyna Gregory, Tristan Cooper, Maisley Cooper, Addilynn Cooper, Declan Cooper, Magnus Cooper, and Abby Deevers.

Services will be held Monday, April 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
