Forrest R. “Dick” Allen, Jr., 68 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020 in his residence.  He was born in Terre Haute on March 24, 1952 to Forrest R. Allen, Sr. and Betty Smith Allen.

Dick worked at Alcan Aluminum and later was self-employed as a concrete contractor and was a member of the Aluminum, Glass, and Block Union Local # 104, where he had formerly served on the Executive Board, and he was also a member of the West Terre Haute Masonic Lodge # 687 F & AM.

Dick is survived by his three children;  Richard “DJ” Allen (Becca), Brian Allen (Jennifer), and Brandi Allen (Trey), the love of his life, Susan Chrisman Allen, and eleven grandchildren; Anthony Branch, Kyle Branch, Zach Branch, Hailey Branch, Olivia Higley, Coltin Higley, Jillian Higley, Kaine Christopher Allen, Halli Myers, London Blaine, and Carter Blaine, as well as three great grandchildren; Zoey Branch, Skylee Branch, and Willow Rayne Allen.  Also surviving are two sisters, Vickie Allen and Richetta Hale, and several niece and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael “Mick” Allen.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, November 5th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow services.
