George William "Ike" Franklin

George William “Ike” Franklin, 91 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 in Majestic Care of Terre Haute. He was born in Hutsonville, IL on October 12, 1933.

Ike was a retired mechanic with Dorsett Automotive.

Ike is survived by his daughter Toni Morgan, and grandchildren; Kelsey VanLannen, Alyssia Pitts, Kaitlynn Morgan, and Megan Bowman. He is also survived by his sister Cora Weger, and three brothers-in-law; William “Pete” Pitts, Jack Pitts (wife Sue), and Dean Pitts, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Jerlean Shaffer Franklin and several brothers and sisters.

Friends and family may share memories of Ike at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow services.
