Glenda Lee Bays

Glenda Lee Bays, 74 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 in her residence.  She was born in Terre Haute on December 3, 1948 to Glen William Page and Margie Bennett Page.

Glenda was a member of West Side Christian Church and had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  She was the former owner of Glenda Place, Inc.

Glenda is survived by her children; Robert Hutchens, Jr., Melissa Hutchens, David Bays, and Jason Bays, her grandchildren; Jaylee Lawson (Will), Robert Hutchens, III (Chloe) , Justin Bays, David Bays, Jr., Brady Hutchens, and Katherine Korak, and one great grandchild, Alastair Hutchens.  Also surviving are her sister, Paula Bradshaw (Don), her brother, David Page (Jessie), and her nieces and nephews; Robbin Poore, Dennis Lawson, Jr. (Beth), Bobbie Sue Lawson, Lori Littleton, Amy Tye, Amy Page Richards (Ray), and David Page (Janet), as well as several great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Dennis Lawson, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 6:00 PM, with Pastor Chris Wilbur officiating.  Visitation is scheduled for Friday, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow services.  The family would like to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for the exceptional care given to Glenda during her illness.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Gentiva Hospice, 4122 South Seventh 7th St., Terre Haute, IN 47802, in her memory.
