Harvey Raymond Neice

Harvey Raymond Neice, 75 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Union Hospital.  He was born in Terre Haute on August 19, 1942 to John “Jack” Neice and Elizabeth Marie Archer Neice.

Harvey retired from Indiana State University in the Grounds & Maintenance Department after 25 years of service and had previously worked at Gartland Foundry.  He was a former member of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) and attended West Side Community Church.

Harvey is survived by his wife Nancy Hay Neice—whom he married September 13, 1963.  He is also survived by his two children;  Harvey T. Neice (wife Dawn), and Jane Elizabeth Hann (husband Bill).  Also surviving are his brother and sisters;  Jack Neice wife Susie), Stella Schoffstall, and Nell McMillen.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren;  Tim Neice (wife Ali), Gunnar Neice, Elijah Hann, and Blake Hann, and a great granddaughter, Zoe Neice.  In addition, he is survived by two brothers-in-law, Tim Hay (wife Somi), and Bill Hay, and two sisters-in-law, Linda Ayala and Irene Yarbrough (husband Donn), his beloved dog Murphy, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John “Jack” Neice and Elizabeth Archer Neice his grandson, Matthew “C.P.” Neice and siblings John Neice and Elizabeth Ann Booker.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Chris Wilbur officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
