Hope D. Edington, 44, of New Goshen passed away at 12:06 p.m. Monday June 8, 2020 in her home surrounded by family. Hope was a cosmetologist. She had owned and operated Shear Design Hair and Tanning in West Terre Haute for several years. She was born November 15, 1975 in Paris, IL to Robert Dean Eslinger and Mary Alice Kennedy Eslinger. Survivors include: her husband Dan Edington whom she married on April 18, 1998 in the Emmanuel United Methodist Church at West Terre Haute; a daughter and son in law Merceedes and Gage Lynch of West Terre Haute; a son Austin Edington of New Goshen; a grandson Liam Lynch; her father Robert Dean Eslinger; three sisters Penny McCarty, Irma Dees, and Rose Eslinger; three brothers Leroy McCarty, Henry McCarty, Donald Eslinger, and James Eslinger; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Alice Kennedy Eslinger; a sister Peggy McCarty; and a brother Owen McCarty. Hope was all about her family and She enjoyed quilting and horseback riding. Funeral services for Hope will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute with Pastor Jim Haddix officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday.
