Jack P. Swalls

Jack P. Swalls, 89 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022. He was born in Terre Haute on November 18th, 1933, to Carl Swalls and Catherine Lane Swalls.

Jack had been a jockey in his younger years and continued to enjoy working with horses many years after. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jack was also a member of the Faith United Methodist Church.

Jack is survived by his wife Barbra Swalls and two children; Jack L. Swalls (Wedonia) and Sandra Densford. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Jack W. Swalls (Melanie), Julie Sanders (Nick), Jessica Gorham (Nate), Eric Johnson (Amy), Jodi Gilmore (Travis), Rhonda Goodale (Shane), Paul Doan (Heaven), Donald Doan (Ashley), Nikki Cox (Chris), Marcy Meyer (Chris), as well as several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his father Carl Swalls, mother Catherine Lane Swalls, two brothers Roger Swalls and Fred Swalls, sister Juanita Head; as well as his son Max Doan.

Funeral Services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Ed Gladdish officiating. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
