James R. Whitesell

James Russell Whitesell of Minden Louisiana passed away at home on June 24, 2022.  He was born September 11, 1944 at home in New Goshen Indiana to Francis and Maxine Whitesell. Survivors include his wife of 27 years Lisa Whitesell; younger brothers, Jerry and Larry Whitesell. His children;  Lou Ann Wake, James Robert Whitesell, Rebecca Ann Ferguson, Elizabeth Ann Cupp, Wallace Lee Whitesell. 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Jim is predeceased by his parents and first wife Nancy Neidlinger Whitesell.

Jim was a pipefitter, air cargo pilot and Flight Instructor. Jim from his youth had a special love for flying.  Jim’s greatest decision was accepting Christ at the age of 9 and faithfully pursued that relationship with Christ all his life.

Graveside memorial services will be held at Rosehill Cemetery on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 4:00 PM.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
