James "Big Jim" William Rogers

James “Big Jim” William Rogers, Sr., 68 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 4:40 PM in his residence.  He was born in Terre Haute December 10, 1949 to Paul Rogers and Mary Forsythe Rogers.

Jim is survived by his wife Elizabeth Kay Krantz Rogers, whom he married September 14, 1966.  He is also survived by two sons;  Jimmy Rogers, Jr. (wife Paula), and Tony Rogers (wife Leah), and a daughter, Rosetta Shrum (husband Tye).  Also surviving is one brother, Tom Rogers, and two sisters;  Mary Lou Buza and Lori Measeah, as well as 13 grandchidlren and 13 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as four brothers;  Ronnie, Duck, John, and Danny.

Jim was an electrician and enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family—especially his grandkids and great grandkids.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Chris Wilbur officiating.  Burial will follow in Shirley Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled on Thursday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
