Jeanette Snyder, 67, of West Terre Haute, Ind. died at 3 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, in her home. Her passing was peaceful and was surrounded by several members of her family. She had been battling cancer for 2 years. Though faced with this trial, her endearing legacy of hope, patience and love will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her life. Born in Terre Haute, on April 11, 1957, she was raised by loving parents Jack and Margaret Jaeger, who preceded her in death. She was one of 4 children, with brother Jack Jaeger Jr (Pam - living) and brother and sister Terry Jaeger and Peg Stedman (Virgil), both of whom have passed. She was married to the love of her life Larry Snyder on November 27, 1976. That union produced two sons, Joshua in 1983 and Michael in 1987. Michael married Stephanie Barnett in 2013.Jeanette had many passions in life, but her children and family were her biggest. Growing up, Jeanette lived in a house overflowing with people, from family to neighborhood friends. She also grew up with lots of cousins, and later in life had several nieces and nephews, too many to name. She also shared a special bond with her sister-in-law Patty Adams. Jeanette was also preceded in death by her special friend of over 40 years Carol Moore, parents-in-law Wayne and Beverly Snyder, who thought of her as their own daughter, and her maternal and paternal grandparents. She was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church, where she retired in January after 35 years as the church secretary. Jeanette was known for her sense of humor and laughter. Visitation will be 10 to 12 p.m. Friday, November 22nd, 2024, at Sugar Creek Baptist Church in West Terre Haute. Services will be at 12 p.m. Friday in the church with Dr. J. Perry Fowler and Dr. Tom Savage officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute. As we commit our Wife, Mother, Sister, Cousin and friend to the Lord's goodly care we are thankful for the many things she gave us. Well done good and faithful servant. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sugar Creek Baptist Church in Jeanette’s name.
