Jeff S. Whitsit

Jeffrey S. “Jeff” Whitsit, 66 of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023.  He was born in Terre Haute on December 4, 1957 to Robert L. Whitsit and Judy Wilkie Rudisel.

Jeff was a member of the Murdock Racing Club, and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and enjoyed watching NASCAR, was a fan of the Buffalo Bills and St. Louis Cardinals, but most of all he enjoyed watching his grandkids play in their various sporting events.

Jeff is survived by two daughters, Melissa Kellett-Powers (Steven) and Amanda Sereno (Brandon), as well as the mother of his children and love of his life, Retta.

He is also survived by his grandchildren; Brooklyn Kellett, Brock Kellett, Paisley Sereno, Brayton Sereno, and Drake Sereno, as well as his siblings; Lori Effner (Jack), Amy Whitsit, Jody Matson (Mark), Todd Whitsit (Jennifer), and Jim Whitsit, as well as two special nephews, Todd “Bubba” Whitsit (Andie) and Jeffrey L. Whitsit, as well as other nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Whitsit, his mother Judy Rudisel, step-father Glen Rudisel, and brother Robert L. Whitsit, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3^rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
