Jesse Ellis Atterson, 51, of Terre Haute passed away October 5, 2020 at his home.
He was born April 26, 1969 in Udall, Missouri to Larry Atterson and June Reed.
Jesse loved riding his motorcycle, playing his drum set, watching comical YouTube videos, doing tattoo work, and above all else, was a diehard Star Trek superfan. Star Trek was life, in many ways, for our father.
Our dad was literally the “go-to” person for numerous people from all aspects and walks of life that would put himself in their world to be able to be the best friend that each person needed at the specific time from happy to sad to mad to confused to not logical and so on. He had the advice needed for each occasion even if he never had experience in the situation, he had a natural understanding to the needs of any and all emotions.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his son, Wyatt M. Atterson.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Pamala Barnhart Atterson; his children, Philip M. Atterson, Sr., Jessica D. Atterson and Abigail M. Atterson; his grandchildren, Rylen G. Atterson and Philip M. Atterson, Jr.; siblings, Michael Cooper, Michael Henderson, Tony Glasgow, Bill Atterson, Eric Atterson, Kimberly Knowles, Missy Atterson Crouse and Mindy Atterson Killion. He is also survived by many friends, in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in Woodlawn Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be made at: www.fitzpatrickfunerals.com.
