Jlee Anthony Betz

Jlee Anthony Betz, 34 of Terre Haute, passed away at 2:46 AM on Friday, March 29, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born in Terre Haute on September 27, 1984 to Christopher Betz and Maryellen Smith.

Jlee enjoyed singing karaoke and was an avid motorcycle rider, demolition derby driver, and avid gun collector, he also loved to bass fish but especially loved his grandchildren.  He didn’t know a stranger and was loved by all who knew him.

Jlee is survived by his wife Kimberly Betz, and children Michael Hann, Sabrina Hann, Candalynn Hann, and grandchildren Lillie Beth, Camyl, Kinsley, and Carson.  Also surviving is his father, Christopher Betz, his father who raised him, Robert Schimmel and brothers and sisters; Michael Betz, Angela Betz, Jessica Stickley, Brittney Fields, Sarah Fields, James Branche, Jay Johnson, Justin Lewis, R.J. Edmaiston, Richard Ridener, and Robert Cash.  He also leaves behind his father-in-law Carl Adams (wife Angela), mother-in-law Donna Adams, his aunt, Christina Barton, and three nieces and two nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Maryellen Smith Schimmel.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 north 3rd St., West Terre Haute on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 1:00 PM, with John Moody officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
