Joan (Jody) (Parson) House

Joan (Jody) House, 79, of West Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Signature Healthcare in Terre Haute, IN.   She was born in West Terre Haute, IN, on January 02, 1943, to Fairy Cort(Red) Parson and Pearl Parson.  She was blessed to be married on September 24, 1960, to her husband Donald E House, who passed on June 12, 2012.

Jody was known for her contagious smile and laughter.  She loved to shop and take care of her many types of animals.  Those who knew her would agree that she was rarely at a loss for words and loved to talk and interact with family and friends.  She was blessed to be a devoted wife for 52 years and a close relationship with all of her family and friends.

Jody is survived by her three children, Annette (Jeff Baker) of West Terre Haute, Peggy (Mike Allen) of West Terre Haute, and Allen House of Nederland, Texas.  She was blessed with 5 grandchildren: Travis Lewzader, Craig Baker, Ryan Baker, Garret House, and Dalton House and 6 great grandchildren.  Jody is also survived by a brother; Dick Rollings and two sisters Shirley Pickett and Carolyn Blair all of West Terre Haute.

Jody is preceded in death by her husband; Donald House, her parents; Fairy and Pearl Parson, a brother; Leon Rollings, three sisters; Rosella Moss, Wilma Giles, Deloris Taylor and her friend/brother-in-law Paul House.

Jody will have a private graveside service at a time to be determined.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
