Joan Rosalie (Harper) Lindsay

Joan Rosalie Lindsay, 90, of West Terre Haute passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in Providence Healthcare.

She was born November 29, 1927 in Bristol, Indiana to John Claude Harper and Alma Josephine Britton Harper.

Joan was a member of the Terre Haute Bible Center, where she taught Sunday school and served on numerous boards and committees. She was past President for the residents at Peddle Park Retirement Center. Joan was a devout Godly woman and a devoted mother.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Noel Lindsay, who passed away in September 1995, her brother, Jack Harper, and a grandson, Kyle David Lindsay.

She is survived by her children, Jay Daniel Lindsay and his wife, Darlena, Noel Tracy Lindsay and his wife, Linda, Stacy Allen Lindsay and his wife, Arlene, Berta Jolene Whitaker and her husband, David, and David Todd Lindsay.  Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, April 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, with visitation from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home. Reverend Robert Thrift will be officiating; burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Terre Haute Bible Center or a charity of your choice.
