John William Napier

John William Napier, 72 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 in his residence. He was born in Connersville, IN on June 21, 1948 to the late Charles W. Napier and Helen Marie Krebs Napier.

John was a 1966 graduate of Shakamak High School and graduated from ISU in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a proud member of the Air National Guard where he was honorably discharged in 1976.  He was a Life Member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers and was a very skilled brick mason. He worked as Maintenance Manager at Pillsbury and later was employed at ICON as Maintenance Manager. He enjoyed fishing and gardening where he would often share his harvest with friends and family. He was a wonderful singer and loved to play his guitar. He was an incredible mechanic and could fix almost anything. He would do anything for his family and loved them so much.

John is survived by five daughters; Lori Turpin (Eric), Angela Burrus  (Clayton), Stephanie Beck (Ricky), Kelsey Kyle (Alex) and Kyleigh Napier; fourteen grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Noah, Kenley, Maeley, Hayven, Jake, Connor, Rylee, Easton, Emily, Eli, Xe’Rayah and Swayze; the mother of his children, Debra French (Michael); his siblings, Gary Napier, Alan Napier, Janene Davids and Graydon Napier; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen with no services scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.
