John William Worthington

John William Worthington, 75 of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021, in Union Hospital.  He was born in Terre Haute on October 20, 1945, to William Worthington and Bessie Bright Worthington.

John retired as a line technician with GTE after 30-plus years of service and was a member of IBEW Local # 725.  He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and was a huge fan of the Indianapolis Colts.

John is survived by his wife Linda Rogers Worthington and their three daughters; Julie Worthington, Amy Wright (Scott), and Abby Wright (Ben), as well as eight grandchildren; Brandon Wright, Anna Hubbard, Evan Hubbard, Jenna Hubbard, Simon Wright, Ezra Wright, Tristan Wright and Treytan Wright, and one great grandchild, Ka’Miah Hubbard.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two siblings, Richard Worthington and Carolyn Engles, and a special uncle, John B. Worthington.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen with a Memorial Service to be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
