Johnny Lee Andrews Sr., 77 of West Terre Haute went to his heavenly home, surrounded by loved ones on June 3, 2024 at Springhill Village. He was born on June 24, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harley Dwight Andrews and Julia Louisa Andrews (Glasgow.)
John was a used car salesman for over 40 years at the 3rd street Auto Exchange in West Terre Haute. He enjoyed Nascar, drag racing, WWE wrestling, cars, and music. John never met a stranger and was always able to strike up a conversation with his humorous stories with anyone. He was an avid thrift shopper who was always adding to his collections of pocket knives and die cast cars. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He married the love of his life, Mary Loretta Andrews, on July 5, 1966. They were married for 52 years. John is preceded in death by his wife Mary Andrews, parents Harley and Julia Andrews, brother Harley Andrews, sisters Vera, Patty, and Maria Andrews, and his maternal in-laws Charles and Mary Jane Porter. He is survived by his twin sons, Johnny and Chow Andrews, Donny and Lyza Andrews, daughter Melissa Andrews, grandchildren Nicole and Brad DuBois, Courtney and David Elkins, Mary Andrews, Charles Andrews, Loretta Markle, Elizabeth Markle, Gabriella Maes, and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, June 6th, 2024 from 11:00 – 1:00 PM, with a private burial to follow in Bethesda Memorial Park.
