Julie Ann Yocum

Julie Ann Yocum, 58 of Plainfield, IN and formerly of West Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born in Clinton, IN on August 8, 1962 to Bill Yocum and Carolyn Fischer Yocum.

Julie was a 1980 graduate of West Vigo High School.  She loved to crochet and make things for her family; her whole life was about giving to others--she would give her last dollar to anyone who needed it.

Julie is survived by her father Bill Yocum (wife Judy), her mother Carolyn Fischer Tennis, and her two children; Jordan Shake (wife Samantha), and Tasha Baker (husband Troy).  She is also survived by her grandchildren; T.J. Baker, Taytum Shake, Zayvion Baker, Sophia Shake, KaLiyah Baker, Jordan Shake, II, and Jaxon Shake, as well as a step-sister, Lauri Clark, step-grandfather, Jimmy Baysinger, special aunt, Jan Martin, special uncle, John Yocum, and several cousins.

Funeral services for Julie will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 7:00 PM, with her son-in-law, Troy Baker officiating.  Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 5:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, in her memory.
