Larry Andrew Prouse Sr.

Larry Andrew Prouse, Sr., 85, of Terre Haute, passed away September 29,  2021 in Gibson Family Center for Hospice.

He was born September 4, 1936 in Terre Haute to Frank Theodore Prouse and Hazel B. Kirkman Prouse.

Larry was a mechanic for the Terre Haute Street Department for over twenty years. He loved dirt track racing and NASCAR.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosemary Simmons Prouse; a brother; 4 sisters, and a granddaughter.

He is survived by his children, Sharon Rogers, Hazel Marie Prouse, Lillian Prouse (Jerry Gillie), Larry Andrew Prouse, Jr. (Beulah), Frankie Prouse (Kelly); and Mark Anthony Prouse (Dawn); sisters, Mary Norton and Betty Pitts; grandchildren, Zachary Arron Prouse and many others; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Notes of condolence may be left at: www.fitzpatrickfunerals.com.
