Linda Amburgey

Linda S. Amburgey, 69, of West Terre Haute passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family at 9:48 p.m. Tuesday June 13, 2017 after a lengthy illness. For many years she assisted with the operation of Amburgey Auto Sales and Body Shop. She was born November 18, 1947 in Vigo County, IN to Raymond Hoffman and Mary Hagar Hoffman. Survivors include: Her Husband of forty seven years, Clarence Amburgey whom she married on September 27, 1969 in the First United Methodist Church in West Terre Haute; three daughters Tammy Kernstein and her husband Jerry of Clinton, IN, Pamela Walker Amburgey of Terre Haute, and Lisa Roberts and her husband T.J. of West Terre Haute; a brother Larry Hoffman and his wife Sandy of Terre Haute; a sister Nancy Huffington of Terre Haute; a brother-in-law Jim Leclercq of Shelbyville, IN; nine grandchildren Jordan and Breanna Kernstein, Tyler and Katherine Cordova, Jayton and Linlee Hulett, Dakota, Avery, and Bryson Roberts; two great grandchildren Elizabeth Wiscaver and Paislee Cordova; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Elaine Leclercq. Linda loved spending time with her family. Funeral services in honor of her life will be 12:00 noon Saturday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Roush officiating. She will be laid to rest in Shirley Cemetery in New Goshen. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and prior to services Saturday.
