Linda Jean (Neice) Prohaska

Linda Jean Neice Prohaska, 72 of Rosedale and formerly of West Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in Meadows Manor East Convalescent Center.  She was born in Terre Haute on March 10, 1949 to William Edward Neice and June Rose Wiley Neice.

Linda was an attendant for Alonzo’s Dry Cleaning, and was a member of the West Terre Haute American Legion Post # 501 Ladies Auxiliary.  She loved to fish and go on vacations.

Linda is survived by her husband Franklin D. Prohaska II, her mother, June Neice, and two daughters, Paula McCalister and Kimberlee Thomas, and a step-son, Franklin D. Fields.  She is also survived by her grandchildren; Matthew and wife Ellie Wyrick, Jeffrey DisPennett II, Katelin Howerton, Isaiah Phipps, Maysun Kozik, and Mattasun Kozik, and a great grandson, Greyson Kozik.  She also leaves behind three brothers; William Niece, Jr., John Neice, and Jackie Neice, and a sister, Diana Lamb.  She was preceded in death by her father, William Edward Neice, and a brother, Rodney Neice.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, In on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor David Lowe officiating.  Burial will follow in New Vermillion Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
