Margaret Hughes

On Oct 10th, at 12:45, our beautiful mother, Margaret Hughes, went to be with the Lord.  She was born Aug 19, 1927 To Ralph and LaDonna Britton.  She was raised with two sisters and one brother. And then on to start a family of her own.  On Sept 26, 1952, she married her life long partner, Harvey Hughes and proceeded to raise a family of twelve children.  She was a homemaker and in her spare time she loves playing bingo, shopping, trips to the casino and always loved a party.  But her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her children.  Next to the love for her family, Mom loved a good joke and her designer purses.  She was always known for her beauty, her spunk and her ever lasting love to live life.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Ralph and LaDonna Britton, her husband, Harvey Hughes, two sisters, Emma May and Dorothy Houser, one brother Phillip Britton and two sons, Robert Fink and Harold Hughes.

She is survived by eight daughters, Jeannie (Dennis) Neal, Donna (Larry) Huff, Marilyn (Larry) Page, Shirley (Marc) Blaine, Mary Keith, Debbie (Bobby) Richey, Diane (Steve) Conrad, Penny (Tony) Stone.  And two sons, Howard (Deb) Hughes and Hubert Hughes.  An abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren, Far too many to list.

Visitation will be Saturday Oct 14, 2023 from 11AM - 1PM at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN, services immediately following, with Pastor Dennis Leek officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park.
