Marjorie Lucille Thomas

Marjorie Lucille Thomas, 94 of Terre Haute, passed away at 1:59 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2019.  She was born in Terre Haute on December 7, 1924 to Cary Franklin Landes and Louise McCullough Landes.

Marjorie was a member of Northside Community United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing, bowling and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

Marjorie is survived by her three children; Mike Thomas (wife Sue Ann), Bill Thomas, and Patti Jo Brown (husband Gary).  Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Chris Thomas, William John Thomas (wife Carolyn), Susan Williams (husband Charlie), Colin Cress (wife Heather), Margie Kay Thomas, Michael Thomas, and Parker Brown.  She also leaves behind eight great grandchildren; Emily, Cory, and McKinly Williams, Owen and Charlotte Cress, Silas Brown, and Marissa and Claudia, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Thomas, Jr. who passed away April 12, 2004, a daughter-in-law, Patty Thomas, special niece Gladys Mason, as well as four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services for Marjorie will be held at Northside Community United Methodist Church, 1075 North Fruitridge Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47804 on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Clark Cowden and her grandson, Rev. Colin Cress officiating.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the church.  The family requests that memorial contributions be made to The WILL Center, 1 Dreiser Square, Terre Haute, IN 47807, in her memory.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.
