Mark Kee Marquis, 66, of Marshall, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in IU Health Methodist Hospital.

Mark was born November 27, 1954 in Terre Haute to James Marquis and Betty Etling Marquis.

He retired as a receiving clerk for DADC. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed spending time boating on Mill Creek with the “Funky Bunch”.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Ashley Nikolai; his father-in-law, Charles Goble; and his sister, Carolyn Marquis Deason.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Francis) Marquis, whom he married on October 29, 2016; son, Austin Francis (Taylor); sister, Marilyn Baker (John); brother, Jim Marquis (Terri); grandchildren, Blaykli Francis, Paislee Francis, Kennedy Francis, Sloane Nikolai, and Rhett Francis; son-in-law, Jess Nikolai (Bailie); mother-in-law, Loretta Goble; sisters-in-law, Diane Reely (Wyatt) and Deb Johnson (Rocky); brothers-in-law, Brian Goble (Angel) and Gary Goble; and daughters, Emily Marquis Endress and Jenna Marquis Redman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. INDIANA time)/ 9:00 a.m. ILLINOIS time at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Martinsville, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday, October 1, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. (EST) at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana.
