Marti Ann Fortner

Marti Ann Fortner, 39 of Jasonville, IN, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 in Union Hospital.  She was born in Terre Haute on November 11, 1982 to Brent Fortner and Cindy Burns Fortner.

Marti loved NASCAR racing, and her favorite driver was Jeff Gordon, but after his retirement, she became a Chase Elliott fan.  She was also a huge fan of Harry Potter.

Marti is survived by her daughter Lia Fortner, and her mother, Cindy Smith (Brad).  She is also survived by her sister, Jenny Strain (Greg), and her brother, Brent Fortner (Jessie), as well as Keely Fowler, who she loved as her own daughter, and her cat Larry.  She was preceded in death by her father Brent Fortner.

In honoring her wishes, cremation was chosen, with a Celebration of Life Service to be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.  Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 2:00 – 3:00 PM in the funeral home.
