Marvin E Tryon

Marvin E. Tryon, 77, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 in Harrison Crossing.

He was born December 26, 1940 in Terre Haute to John Ervin Tryon and Josephine Joan “Jo” Gosnell Tryon.

Marvin was a heavy equipment operator for the Operators Union #841. He was a member of the VFW Post 6574 in West Terre Haute, American Legion Post 501, the Young Men’s Club, West Terre Haute and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #841.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Holbert Tryon.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Sue Heyen and her daughter, Carrie Nees; his brothers, Bill Tryon (Patty) and John Tryon (Deb); his grandchildren, Jordan Bryant and Austin Patrick; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana. Military Rites will be performed at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In honor of Marvin’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. A burial of ashes in Grandview Cemetery in a private ceremony.
