Mary Kay White

Mary Kay White went to be with the Lord and her husband on December 14, 2021, after passing away in her daughter’s residence.  She was born in Terre Haute on February 17, 1946 to Walter Gowan and Minnie Krise Gowan.

Mary Kay was a member of Dresser Church and retired from the Sisters of Providence after 29 years of service.

Mary Kay is survived by her children; Lisa Stephens (Gary), Bob Gowan (Missy), Tom Gowan (Terry), and Buddy White (Tiffany).  She is also survived by a brother, Tom Sanders (Lisa), and sister Susie Scarbrough (Jim), as well as special friends Kathy Hogue, Darla Kay Boatman, Ginger Funkhouser, and Linda Staggs, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 42 years bud White, and a sister, Otie Billings.

Funeral services will be held at Dresser Church on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM, with her son, Pastor Buddy White officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service in the church.  The family would like to thank all the Doctors and entire staff of the Hux Center and VNA Hospice of the Wabash Valley for the exceptional care given to Mary Kay.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to either The American Lung Association or Dresser Church, in her memory.  Fitzpatrick Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
